Moving into her apartment, journalist-turned-entrepreneur Genevieve Rosen-Biller encountered a problem. She wanted bedding that was luxurious and indulgent yet affordable and accessible.

Genevieve’s fabric of choice was 100 per cent French Flax Linen. The only options she could find were impractically sold separately and priced at $500 or more. In 2017, after two years of rigorous product development and research, Genevieve created her own line to fit her requirements, Bed Threads. The brand aims to provide luxurious 100 per cent French Flax Linen bedding that is comfortable to sleep in no matter the climate, looks good and is accessible to everyone.

When stock sold out just three weeks after Bed Threads threw open its figurative online doors last August, it was clear the brand had struck a chord with savvy interior lovers. Genevieve was surprised that such a gap existed in the market and pleased with how well received her product was. “I wanted to create something simple and functional but beautiful and top quality that would fit seamlessly into any home – whether it’s a share-house, small apartment or luxurious family home.”

From $250, sets are available in an array of captivating colours – think rosewater, olive, fog, ink and more – that will bring a sophisticated touch to any bedroom. Beautiful aesthetic aside, Genevieve insists it is the quality of Bed Threads’ linen that makes sleeping on it pure bliss.
