Nicole Byrne has singlehandedly built her store, Miss Henry Boutique from a small Paddington boutique to one of Brisbane’s iconic shopping destinations. A fashion institution, Miss Henry Boutique, recently celebrated more than a decade of designer wares and styling. Founded in 2007, the boutique now stocks some of the globe’s most sought-after brands, including Camilla and Marc, Sass & Bide, Frame, J Brand and Anine Bing.

What began as a small retail store only stocking local labels quickly established its position within the Australian fashion scene, allowing Nicole to exclusively stock some international heavyweights.“Obtaining some of these exclusive brands was a gradual evolution for Miss Henry, but I knew it was the right move at the time as there wasn’t many other fashion houses in Brisbane that had everything under one roof.”

“There was an immediate demand for high end brands from my clientele and I wanted to ensure the growth of the business was aligned with the desires of my clients – which has resulted in more than 85 per cent of my original customers still returning a decade later”. Positioning herself as an established red carpet stylist and dressing some of Australia’s leading ladies such as Dami Im and Miss World Australia, Tess Alexander, Nicole also offers a personalised styling service to help the fashionistas of Brisbane redefine their look, find that special dress for an upcoming event or curate an entirely new wardrobe. “It became apparent that my returning VIP clients were not coming in to buy an item or two, they were looking for the whole experience!”

“Over the past year Brisbane has really picked up its fashion game and is starting to become a strong fashion contender in Australia. I’m noticing a lot more women, and men, motivated to coordinate a killer outfit each day to feel confident and able to tackle a big day ahead!” With Nicole in store everyday styling the women of Brisbane, going on international buying trips and participating in frequent runway events, it is safe to say she is showing no signs of slowing down.
