Women in Digital has announced nominations for its inaugural Awards Gala are now open, with the not-for-profit aiming to support greater diversity in Australia’s digital landscape.
Women in Digital is an international organisation that connects women in the digital and information technology (IT) industries, providing professional development and mentoring services to ensure members are at the forefront of the digital revolution. Founder Holly Tattersall said the awards represent an important step in changing the face of the digital and IT industries, pushing forward the agenda of recognising leading women in one of the country’s most competitive sectors. “As part of our ongoing aim to champion female leaders and innovative thinkers, we see the awards program as an important next stage in inspiring the digital minds of tomorrow,” she said.
The awards are in partnership with industry leaders including Suncorp and Amazon Web Services to recognise achievements across awards including Digital Producer of the Year and Software Developer of the Year. Awards will be presented across thirteen categories, including Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Bluebox Founder of the Year, Australian Institute of Company Directors Employer of the Year, Columbus Digital Producer of the Year and University of Queensland (UQ) Leader of the Year. Nominations are open now and will close on 16 September ahead of the Awards Gala held on 26 October at the W Hotel Brisbane.
