Michelle Worthington is an international award-winning author and business woman. Two-time winner of the International Book Award and finalist in the USA Best Book Awards, Worthington also received a Gellett Burgess Award and a Silver Moonbeam Award for her contribution to celebrating diversity in literature.

Worthington was the recipient of the 2018 AusMumpreneur Gold Award for Business Excellence and the winner of the 2018 Redlands BaR award for Best Start Up Business.  She is also a real life book fairy. Her magic powers include turning coffee into award-winning books. As Founder of Share Your Story Australia, she waves her wand to coach aspiring authors and illustrators all over the world achieve their dreams of publication. Whether she’s a fairy, a mermaid, a pirate or an elf, Worthington celebrates empowering readers and storytellers to dream big.  This year, Share Your Story Australia are holding a writing competition, giving aspiring authors of all ages the chance to be published.  The competition is looking for short stories or traditional Australian bush poems with the theme “Bedtime Yarns and Ballads from the Australian Bush” and that will appeal to children aged zero to twelve years old.

The winner of the “Share Your Story” competition will have their work published in the 2020 anthology, which will raise money for Australians affected by the bushfires, with all proceeds donated to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service.  The Rural Fire Service is often led by volunteers who take time off work to protect other people’s properties and families even when their own life is in danger.
