Florist Kat O’Sullivan, owner of Brisbane floral design studio Garden Graffiti, is pledging to volunteer her time and expertise to five events this year that reflect her playful style, whether it be a wedding, product launch, or restaurant opening.

After working in London for two years with reknowned flower shop Rebel Rebel, who created Beyonce’s floral headdress in Vogue 2018, Kat resided in Tuscany for the summer teaching floral skills in an upmarket Italian flower school, then spent some time in New York working with designers for weddings in the Hamptons and event launches at the Lincoln Centre.

Kat grew up in Brisbane and has returned here permanently to start Garden Graffiti, which is influenced by London, inspired by New York, but instinctively Brisbane. She believes Brisbane is often underestimated as a city of creatives, but she is determined, like many artists here, to showcase her viewpoint which is distinctly reflective of the city. Garden Graffiti is wild, textured and romantic with native and tropical touches set against a bold, colourful, urban setting.

Head to the website to get in contact with Garden Graffiti, describing your event in the message section, submissions close Sunday 30 September.
