Three-time ARIA nominated and multiple APRA award winner, Jade MacRae, shares her most honest and close-to-heart song My Fathers House. After returning to the spotlight with an up-tempo release in August, the latest tracks are MacRae’s first singles under her own name since 2008 — also marking her return to soul music.
“My Fathers House speaks of love and family. Giving full access to a new love and allowing yourself to be completely vulnerable. It’s a song for anyone who has loved hard and lost, but been willing to try again. It’s a song of hope and fragility, and gets down to core values of what matters most — your character, your heart, your word,” says MacRae.
Recorded in between a busy touring schedule at Sydney-based Free Energy Device Studios, My Fathers House features Jade at the Wurlitzer and Carl Dewhurst on guitar.
MacRae’s previous releases have received much critical acclaim with debut album Jade MacRae boasting two top 20 ARIA chart singles. She is currently touring as a featured vocalist for U.S. blues guitarist, Joe Bonamassa, with recent performances at Royal Albert Hall, The Beacon Theatre, and The Greek Theatre LA. The single is now available on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music.
