JEFFE has returned with a striking new single Motionless which is the rhythmic soundtrack for the video to launch The Australian Ballet’s 2020 season.
In a somewhat serendipitous pairing, JEFFE was asked to accompany the dancers of The Australian Ballet to the outback of Australia to film their launch video. What results is an incredibly beautiful juxtaposition of the dancers against a sundrenched landscape featuring JEFFE and the soundbed Motionless. The track was written by JEFFE and her producer collaborator Dave Hammer (Washington, Baker Boy, Lime Cordiale) and marks the first new music since JEFFE’s debut EP One Hundred Percent. It is the beginning of a new chapter for JEFFE who stacked up an impressive list of achievements in 2018. Gaining early champions at triple j, FBi, Double J, 3RRR, Spotify and Apple Music for her debut single ‘WHOEVER YOU LOVE, I’m COOL’ and follow up ‘UNDECIDED’, JEFFE laid a solid foundation at home and set sail to the UK. Airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6, X Radio and Amazing Radio followed, as well as the prestigious title as one of BBC Radios’ ‘Next Wave’ Artists.
JEFFE also sold out headline shows and inked deals with bookers both in Australia and overseas resulting in shows at home alongside G Flip, Alex the Astronaut, Stella Donnelly and No Mono and in the UK – The Great Escape and Live at Leeds and main support on HONNE’s Europe/UK tour, introducing her music to tens of thousands of new fans.
JEFFE has been anything but Motionless in the last 12 months and with an appearance nationally alongside some of the biggest artists in the world – including Flume and Diplo – at Listen Out Festival in a week’s time, this dynamic artist is poised to show her versatility and vivacious live set to a new crowd.
