Eco-friendly advocate Julia Schafer leads a very sustainable lifestyle and urges Australians to be more mindful in any way that they can – even if it’s just by starting with the basics or even her 21-day eco-challenge.

“My passion project is to educate others in simple ways so that they can leave a lighter footprint on the planet. Be it through zero waste practices, home cooking, DIY projects or urban gardening tips – there really is a way to bring eco into every room.”

Using and recommending PFAS-free cookware for years, Julia was excited to hear that GreenPan was launching a PFAS-free non-stick Slow Cooker and Power Pan Multicooker. “I think it’s amazing that Aussies now have access to PFAS-free options for kitchen appliances that are cooking essentials in almost every Australian kitchen – especially as the slow cooker has been around for decades!”

GreenPan is encouraging Aussies to make the switch to PFAS-free non-stick kitchen appliances to put not only their health first but the environment as well. Both the Slow Cooker and Power Pan Multicooker is now available exclusively at Myer stores across Australia – alongside their extensive cookware products.

Dubbed the ‘forever chemicals’ PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are toxic for both human health and the environment. Yet, only one in five Australians shop to avoid cookware that was made with harmful chemicals. GreenPan is encouraging Aussies to make the switch to PFAS-free non-stick kitchen appliances to put not only their health first but the environment as well.

Opting for PFAS-free non-stick cookware and appliances should be a no brainer for Aussies, but as the research shows, there is a lack of awareness of the risks of PFAS chemicals.
