Reet Phulwani is no stranger to the healthcare industry with more than 10 years experience as a Director of Medsurge Healthcare.

Considered one of the fastest growing family owned pharmaceutical companies in Australia, Medsurge Healthcare services almost 1000 hospitals and 6500 pharmacies in Australia and was in 2017 named one of Westpac’s Top 200 Businesses of Tomorrow.

Phulwani moved from India to Melbourne in 2002, leaving behind family and the world she knew for a new beginning. Juggling 18 hour shifts, full-time study for a Masters degree and the cost of living, Reet faced many challenges before establishing Medsurge Healthcare. She is now the proud mother of three children (Ronith, Sienna and Kyra) and is a youth ambassador for the India Australia Business & Community Awards (IABCA) 2020.

Phulwani is also a qualified Gemmologist and Diamond grader registered with the National Council of Jewellery Valuers (NCJV) since 2013, having founded K.R Impex Pty Ltd – a gemstone wholesale and jewellery designing company. She was also a finalist in the “multicultural excellence category” at Ausmumpreneur awards in 2019.

Phulwani is involved with conceptualising and directing business development initiatives and streamlining operations, as well as managing sales, marketing and business augmentation. She is also a member of Women in Business and Make in India chapters of Australia India Business Council (AIBC).
