Chloe Robinson graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Queensland in 2019; where her initial career interest was for a career in PR. The recent graduate found her talent after internships on the Sunshine Coast and from the help of her mentoring voice coach Sally Prosser where her interest in media began.

Chloe gained a role as a producer for 9News Queensland shortly after graduating where the foot-in-the-door position was the motivation she needed to keep working towards her goal of becoming a news reporter. Just as the news of the pandemic broke in Australia, Chloe was offered a new spot on the 9News Local Central Queensland reporting team in March of this year.

She thrived off the local stories that she reported on and quickly found her feet while doing so. The biggest highlight in her career is a mine explosion in Moranbah, six hours from Rockhampton that occurred earlier this year. Chloe received the tip in the late afternoon where she and her cameraman travelled throughout the evening to arrive at midnight to cover the horrific incident.

The following day she was up at 4 am to prepare for a cross on the Today Show, which was her first live and national cross where she shared a severe and vital update to locals all across Central Queensland and the nation.

Chloe is driven by the importance of ensuring Central Queenslanders have the news and information they need where she also thrives off getting to know the locals and sharing stories that make these regional areas of Queensland unique.
