Brisbane’s newest luxury resort wear label Robe is officially available to purchase. Launched in November 2017, Robe stemmed from a desire to be covered but not feel covered; to have a garment that effortlessly drapes over swimwear to transition from pool to lunch and beach to bar; a garment that is flattering to all shapes and sizes and a garment that is always sexy, wet or dry. Founder and head designer Rebecca Kroon spent more than 18 months working with a range of different international suppliers and designers, sampling thousands of garments to create the perfect blend of fabric. “Initially I thought we were going to be able to source the fabric “off the shelf” as there are so many already out there, but after months of research and sampling thousands of products, I realised that the fabric I had in mind was going to need to be milled from scratch,” said Rebecca.

“I didn’t want to settle for a fabric that wasn’t perfect for my market. I wanted a garment that draped beautifully, was durable, had absorbency and looked and felt amazing and sexy on – ultimately creating the perfect robe for all occasions, whether it be beachside or poolside, aboard a yacht in the Sydney Harbour or on a summer holiday in the South of France.” From there, Robe was born, with the brand’s debut collection housing 12 garments created to make women feel sexy, confident and beautiful in their swimwear. “Robe was dreamt up to throw on over a wet bikini and designed to be a luxe resort wear staple in every woman’s wardrobe.”

The Robe team are showing no signs of slowing down with 2018 billed to be their biggest yet, involving a nationwide roll out and plans to expand to the international market by end of year.
