Samantha Brett is a television news journalist and founder of Naked Sundays, an award-winning sunscreen brand aimed at changing the habits of millennials when it comes to applying SPF.

Sam worked as the Sunrise morning news reporter for seven years before going on to start her business inspired by her own SPF journey of not finding anything to top up her sunscreen over her heavy TV makeup. She is the author of 10 books including The Game Changers with Meghan Markle. Samantha is a proud advocate for melanoma prevention and cure.

Sam first began considering how difficult it was to reapply sunscreen over the top of make-up after learning that two of her colleagues had skin cancers cut from their face. She recognised that there was a sizeable gap in the market for a product that could be reapplied over makeup whilst offering high-performance protection. Sam dove head-first into research and was shocked by the results: 70 per cent of millennials admitted to not wearing sunscreen every day because they complained it was “white, sticky, not good for the skin.”

Sam and her husband dedicated the next few years of long nights and weekends to the Naked Sundays brand, working with the world’s best skin experts and SPF formulators, packaging designers and creators. The result was a ground-breaking SPF50+ Hydrating Mist, Australia’s first spray sunscreen that could be applied over the top of make-up.
