Sarah Williams’ best-selling Australian novel is about to be launched as an audiobook, with actor Myles Pollard as narrator.

Sarah Williams, author and publisher, decided to turn her award-winning rural romance, The Brothers of Brigadier Station, into an audiobook so that it could be enjoyed by many more people around the world, as well as those with dyslexia and the visually impaired. “I was honoured when Myles agreed to the project, and he will also be recording the next two books in the series, including The Sky Over Brigadier Station, and The Legacies of Brigadier Station. As a large portion of readers are from North America, it is so important to have a globally recognisable Australian recording the audiobooks.”

The Brothers of Brigadier Station is a fictional romance set in north-west Queensland, featuring Meghan Flanagan, a vet-nurse from Townsville. She moves to Brigadier Station in outback Queensland to marry the man of her dreams, but she is shocked to discover that perhaps her fiancé is not the man she wants waiting for her at the altar: but rather his younger brother. The modern romance is set in the drought-stricken plains of Julia Creek and the coastal city of Townsville.

Mr Pollard is excited to lend his voice to the audiobook. “Sarah’s story is heart-warming and uplifting. The world she has created is beautiful, even when the characters are sad and dejected. In fact, the book will make you want to move to the country to live a simpler, honest, happier life. There is empathy and pathos in the writing that is always balanced with good humour. It’s also very sexy, a little steamy but always grounded in truth and plenty of class.”
