Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. This year the annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout  will raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, CEO’s that sign up to participate will  be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.

Hilton Brisbane Human Resources Manager, Adrienne Putelli will join more than 400 Brisbane CEO’s to brave a night in the cold to raise money for St Vincent de Paul and the homeless population. With only a sleeping bag and sheet of cardboard in tow, Adrienne will rough out a night at the Brisbane Powerhouse next Thursday June 20 for the annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout. The night is expected to be one of the coldest and longest of the year with all donations supporting much needed food, accommodation and essential services for people at risk of and experiencing homelessness.

Adrienne is a champion for sustainability and social justice, winning the prestigious global Hilton CEO Light & Warmth Award in 2018. She encourages staff to participate in Hilton Brisbane extra-curricular activities and community initiatives such as the inner-city bee hive pollination program, and the Return-It and Clean the Worldrecycling actions.

This year Adrienne has set her sights on raising $5000  to help with individuals facing homelessness. Adrienne is halfway to her goal raising $2575 so far, which has helped towards providing 8 individual support programs, 21 beds and 85 meals.

The program not only helps those that are homeless but helps prevent homelessness through providing  financial support when  times are tough. $55 helps feed a family for a day, $129 help a family keep the power on in winter, $300 helps relocate a person sleeping rough to accommodation services, $505 helps provide emergency accommodation for a family in crisis.
