Toowoomba will host the Asia Pacific Startup Weekend Women for Entrepreneurs. The Immersive three day experience offers entrepreneurs opportunity to explore new ventures.
The Startup Weekend Women brings together designers, developers, marketers and startup enthusiasts from across the southern Queensland region to share ideas, form teams and launch exciting business ventures. Attendees present their ideas, form teams to work on a selection of ideas with the most promising are given the chance to advance the product concept as far as possible over an intensive three days. Each session will be lead by a talented team of mentors and volunteers, on hand to share insights and personal experiences and support participants on the startup journey.
Attendees will work collaboratively to create a minimum viable product that can be taken to market. Since 2007, Techstars Startup Weekend has taken place in more than 150 countries with more than 200,000 alumni. Participants have the platform to catapult their initial concepts to the next level and join a huge worldwide network of entrepreneurs. The goal is to encourage and inspire more female leaders to set up business in the world and to connect them to the vast amount of resources and mentors available in the startup community, both locally and globally. The event is open to anyone that identifies as a woman, who is looking for a way to transform their concept into a reality. The event will take place September 14 to 16. The 54 hour event will be held at Canvas Coworking located in Ruthven Street, Toowoomba.
