A Queensland woman, along with her father, is on a mission to shake things up in the health industry, introducing to the market a range of three 100 per cent natural elixirs to help simplify the world of supplements, one capsule at a time.
Founded in 2016 and headed up by Pip and Glenn Summerville, Tonik is a range of natural elixirs including organic coconut oil, organic apple cider vinegar and organic turmeric. The elixirs are intended to harness the benefits of nature into convenient, chic capsules, ready to pop on the go, helping to bring out the ‘glow from within’ and already being stocked by international heavyweights including Free People, Harvey Nichols and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop.
Pip explains “The concept is simple, everyone knows the incredible health benefits of taking apple cider vinegar, coconut oil and turmeric on a daily basis. But unfortunately, most people don’t like taking them in their natural state, whether it’s the texture or taste that they don’t like. I was one of those people, after taking apple cider vinegar in shot glass every day for years, I thought to myself there must be an easier way to do this. So I had a chat with dad and we decided to pop it in capsule form. Not only was this a revelation to my daily routine – but the more disciplined and strict I was with my elixirs, the more benefits I noticed.
Glenn, a pharmacist with over 40 years experience, is the mastermind behind the natural elixirs, always working on developing new formulas while ensuring the natural benefits of each ingredient is retained in its most organic and pure form. “More often than not, a natural approach can lessen potential side effects of the modern health conditions a lot of us suffer from. All we have done is taken some of the most historic ingredients – ingredients that are available in your local supermarket – and popped them into easily digestible capsules that are convenient, practical and sustainable”. Glenn says.
