Founder of Ravishing Fashionistas and former Mrs Universal Australia 2019, Upma Kite, has recently become the proud new owner of Women in Fashion Global.

Women in Fashion is a nationwide initiative for people working in all facets of the fashion industry that provides support and mentoring programs as well as organising events for networking and professional development. Women in Fashion’s goal is to support, encourage and connect with people from all facets of the fashion industry to help grow the industry organically via collaboration and empowerment.

Upma Kite is perfect to take on this role. She established Ravishing Fashionistas to help women restore their sense of self-confidence, high self-esteem, and positive body image. She founded the Dignifying Women Foundation to help women who suffer from DV and other related matters.

Carly Vidal-Wallace, who founded Women in Fashion Global, had some wonderful things to say of Upma. “Upma is indeed a true ‘Woman in Fashion’.  She is the founder of Brisbane’s very own Ravishing Fashionistas and brings her vast experience in running sell-out events, from runways to charity luncheons, with a passion for advocacy around body positivity.  She also introduces a whole new larger fashion community into the Women in Fashion annual events, meaning I am sure that Women in Fashion will continue to grow and prosper. I am excited to officially announce the new ownership of Women in Fashion as I hand over with full support to Upma Kite.  I will be right here alongside Upma and her team working together to ensure the best for Women in Fashion.”
