Launched in 2013 and nestled in the cosmopolitan suburb of Prahran, Melbourne, Enbacci is a family owned and operated luxury skincare brand led by its founders, Yong-Li Zhou, and her mother, Nan Chen.
Utilising the latest scientific advancements in biotechnology, Enbacci harnesses the phytonutrients of fruit and plant stem cells to combat the effects of premature ageing and protect skin from free radical assault and other environmental aggressors.
Harvesting stem cells from a variety of botanical sources, including French grapes, Swiss orchid apples, and a temperature-resistant flower called the saponaria pumila, Enbacci prides itself on delivering potent skincare solutions that actively target fine lines and wrinkles, acne, texture, photodamage and moisture loss.
As a first generation Australian and multicultural advocate, Yong-Li utilises Enbacci as a vehicle for social change by celebrating human diversity in all its forms and challenging the status quo through the depiction of various ages, genders, skin types and ethnicities across the brand’s various customer touchpoints.
Creator of #iamthefaceofaustralia movement, a UGC social media campaign designed to showcase Australia’s cultural diversity; and an open letter to the Australian public on postpartum body image, Yong-Li uses the universal power of storytelling to develop a candid dialogue with her global audience and encourage acceptance, empathy, and compassion in the wider community.
Possessing multiple credentials including an advanced skin science certification and a double diploma in personal care formulation, development and promotion, Yong-Li draws upon her academic and professional experience to educate and empower consumers on the science of skincare and combat the barrage of false marketing claims that plague the beauty industry.
Upon the arrival of her first child in 2019, Yong-Li has openly discussed the pressures of female entrepreneurship and her inspirational learnings on finding balance as a wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
With a flagship store, a global supply chain, and a recently secured partnership with environmental and social initiatives leader, i=Change, Yong-Li is on a mission to redefine the luxury beauty category and raise the bar on what it means to be a better business in today’s current social climate.
