The Brisbane Powerhouse will stage the inaugural Australian Women in Music Awards to acknowledge and recognise the contribution of women in the Australian music industry. The awards ceremony and cocktail party will conclude two days of female-focused music forums and celebrate women in the Australian music industry. For the first time in Australian music history, female artists will be presented with awards highlighting excellence in artistry, technical and production skills, cross-cultural development, songwriting, music education, music photography, humanitarian work and more.
