Toowoomba International Women’s Day Breakfast

The Toowoomba Women’s Inc is hosting an International Women’s Day Breakfast to raise funds towards Protea Place. Protea Place will be a safe day space where women who may be experiencing homelessness or disadvantage can come and have a shower, use the laundry, have a meal and connect in with friendship and support. Protea Place will be the first initiative under TWC as it aims to address the lack of women specific support programs in the Toowoomba community. There is currently nowhere in Toowoomba offering these facilities to women in need. All funds raised from the breakfast go towards the start up costs to get Protea Place up and running in 2019.
