Twenty-five year old Xanthe Jones graduated from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama), and a Graduate Diploma in Artistic Management and is now the Artistic Director of the Brisbane Immersive Ensemble, a theatre company primarily focused on ensemble-driven immersive works.

Over the past few years, Xanthe has been the recipient of the 2015 Short+Sweet Award, the People’s Choice award, the 2016 Anywhere Festival award, and the 2017 Anywhere Festival award for ‘Cluedo! The Interactive Game’, and has also been recognised and awarded for the best script and best score. Xanthe has had experience writing, producing and directing for ‘Little Splendour’ at the Splendour in the Grass Festival, and has worked with the Brisbane Festival, the Woodford Folk Festival, Falls Festival and more.

The Brisbane Immersive Ensemble, artistically directed by Xanthe, is a cast of dedicated performers who use specific theatre techniques, using their incredible attention to detail to successfully create an immersive world for the audience to feel a part of. This April, Xanthe and her team at Brisbane Immersive Ensemble are bringing ‘Cluedo! The Interactive Game’ to life in Brisbane. Xanthe said she knew she wanted to create an engaging experience which combined elements of dark comedy and intense drama, and that Cluedo seemed like the perfect platform to achieve this.

This will be an evening where wannabe detectives are treated to a dinner party and evening of music, mayhem and mystery as they attempt to unravel a crime. Audience members are called upon to play the part of guests and amateur sleuths at a doomed 1930s cocktail party, and must collect clues throughout the evening. Cluedo! will run from April 17 – May 24.
