Mumpreneurs from across Australia converged on Adelaide on 6 to 9 September for the tenth annual AusMumpreneur Conference and Awards. The awards were created to honour, inspire, and elevate mothers who run their own businesses around their families.

Founded by Peace Mitchell and Katy Garner, AusMumpreneurs was created to support women starting and running businesses by providing them with online mentoring, education, and networking opportunities. The network also awards scholarships to women to help them attend business conferences and participate in online courses. Mitchell and Garner strongly advocate for investing in women, believing that doing so will unlock a woman’s full potential. In their own words,”investing in women is the most powerful way to change the world.”

This year’s theme for the conference and awards is A Million Dreams, and celebrates and honours ten years of mums in businesses. The conference and awards took place over a period of three days, culminating in the red carpet award dinner. The program included more than 300 Mumpreneurs set to attend, 20 guest speakers, who are Mumpreneurs themselves, business workshops, networking events, a business expo and gala dinner.

Finalists were announced for the awards earlier in the year, with  38 categories presented. Such categories include AusMumpreneur of the Year, Big Idea, Hair and Beauty, Leadership, and Innovation, and are awarded by both judging panels and via the people’s choice. Held at the White Night Receptions in Maidstone, the gala dinner featured a three-course meal as well as drinks and entertainment.
