NewDirection Care Founder and CEO Natasha Chadwick has been awarded the prestigious 2019 Telstra Australian Business Women’s Awards for her lifelong work in Aged Care, innovating and rewriting Australian’s Aged Care system.
In March 2019, Natasha was awarded the 2019 Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year and in the Medium to Large Business Category – all testament to the ground breaking innovation around NewDirection Care. In her acceptance speech, Natasha said “The questions that the Australian community needs to ask itself are; do we still think its okay to segregate someone who is living with dementia from other people in a secure environment—to criminalise someone who is living with a brain injury or brain disease? If you had a loved one in this situation, it’s not what you would want for them. Winning this Telstra award will shine a spotlight on my mission at NewDirection Care for radical change across all aged care.”
