Dalby hair stylist Kerry Slee is set to venture to Monaco this May, where she will be a part of the styling team at the Monaco Grand Prix. Kerry will be travelling with Global Hair and Makeup, to experience working backstage at the one of the biggest fashion shows in town.

The Amber Lounge boasts one of the most exclusive Formula 1 after parties, and this year will host Prince Albert as the patron. The once small-town hairdresser will experience a six day trip to France and priceless experience working for this event. This is not the first time Kerry’s talents have taken her overseas; back in September 2018 she worked with the Revlon backstage team at London Fashion Week.

Kerry began in Dalby as an apprentice hairdresser 16 years ago and now owns Dalby salon, Pure Hair and Beauty and manages a team of over 10 stylists. In 2016 her business placed runner-up in Salon of the Year and in March 2018 was awarded Salon of the Month. Pure Hair and Beauty offers a range of hair and beauty services, and can even enjoy a coffee or alcoholic beverage from the store’s mini bar. Kerry says this extra makes them feel at home and fully wind down. “Hairdressing in a small town such as Dalby is such an amazing opportunity because your clientele becomes your friends and family,” she says. “My business would not be where it is today without them.”

Pure Hair and Beauty is open at 2/59 Condamine Street seven days a week, 9am to 5pm and late nights Wednesday to Thursday 5pm to 9pm.
