Kirrily Johnston is a highly acclaimed award-winning Australian Designer and now, Creative Director behind the iconic HUSK portfolio.
Kirrily has more than 20 years experience in the fashion industry, 12 of which she spent at the helm of her own company which at its peak ran three retail stores in Australia and sold to more than 80 stockists worldwide. The relationship between Kirrily and HUSK first bloomed in 1999 when HUSK became the first wholesale account for Kirrily’s own label. In 2013, Kirrily was approached with the offer as the Creative Director at HUSK shortly after she closed the doors to her beloved label.
Although reluctant to decline, timings did not align for Kirrily to relocate to HUSK ‘s primary location in Melbourne. Both Kirrily and HUSK remained passionate about collaborating which later saw the launch of two ‘Kirrily Johnston + HUSK’ capsule collection sell-outs. Following Kirrily’s relocation to Melbourne due to family circumstances in 2014 and a 15-month stint as Design Manager for Witchery, Kirrily was presented with a renewed offer by HUSK CEO, Damian Taylor to join the brand as Creative Director in July 2016. Kirrily welcomed the opportunity, and the brand has continued to grow from strength to strength ever since.

In adition to being home to a curated edit of contemporary international brands including Rodebjer, Munthe, Sabina Musayev, Essential Antwerp and Citizens of Humanity to name a few, HUSK also produces its own eponymous label headed up by Kirrily Johnston. The label is renowned for its signature leather, fluid silks and luxe knits all of which embody HUSK’s modern global style, with a clear nod to Kirrily’s signature casual elegance and innovative designs.
