Melbourne-based producer, singer and songwriter Eilish Gilligan has been announced as the 2019 winner of the coveted Josh Pyke Partnership. The partnership aims to connect an unsigned musician with mentorship from experts such as Gregg Donovan and Stephen Wade, as well as Josh Pyke himself, and $7500 in grant funding to help grow their career.

Gilligan was ecstatic with the news, ”I am so, so humbled, grateful and excited to win… this vote of confidence means a lot and will allow me to continue to work towards my musical, artistic and professional goals with the guidance of industry veterans.”

Josh Pyke is hugely excited by Eilish’s potential, noting she has ”achieved a hell of a lot under her own steam” and believes she has what it takes ”for a long and fruitful career.” He emphasises her multi-faceted skills as an artist, ”she is a songwriter but also a gifted technical producer, collaborative songwriter and the star of her own show.”

Previous partnership recipients include Sumner in 2018, Angie McMahon in 2017 and Alex Lahey in 2016. Pyke also gives honourable mention to some of this year’s runners up – Riley Pearce, Moreton and OM Collective.
