Reet Phulwani is a qualified gemmologist, diamond grader , a registered jewellery valuer and mother of three beautiful children, Ronith 11, Sienna 5 and a 10-month-old baby Kyra. Reet started a jewellery valuation diamond wholesale business, K.R Impex Pty Ltd., in 2008 from her home office. Reet always had a passion of working in the jewellery industry and designing bespoke jewellery pieces.

Reet started her journey into the jewellery industry by making hand-crafted beaded jewellery necklaces and bracelets and selling it at local Sunday craft markets and using online channels. She began contacting suppliers overseas in India, USA and Thailand and launched her business while raising a newborn baby. She started off with an online store, initially selling only to Melbourne customers, however as the business grew she started to deliver to other states, whilst continuing to sell at weekend markets and started some wholesale work.

However Reet faced the challenge of being unqualified in business and being unable to recognise quality gems from fakes. Reet is gifted with people skills, multi-tasking, creativity and communication, yet she required more knowledge of gemstones, diamonds and financial and legal operations for her business. So she decided to begin a formal jewellery education, and thus finished her Gemmology Diploma part time doing evening classes, meanwhile looking after her son and running her business online during the day.

Reet furthered her studies by competing a Diamond Grading certificate and passed a Jewellery Valuers exam from the National Council of Jewellery Valuers (NCJV) in 2012. Currently Reet uses social media every day to promote her jewellery designs. Reet continues to run a successful business, and has been been selected as a Finalist for the upcoming Ausmumpreneur Awards in the Multicultural Excellence Category.
