A local female founded startup is making access to professional nutrition support for workplaces easy, affordable and practical.

Thanks to funding from Advance Queensland, Sophus has been able to support the health of Queensland workers for free during COVID-19 — which has seen a drastic change to people’s eating habits, with over a third of Australians increasing discretionary food consumption and snacking in 2020.

To help Queenslanders, Sophus has been offering a corporate nutrition program for free to all Queensland businesses for six  months. The program officially launched in October 2020, and so far has seen over 30 businesses sign up with almost 500 employees.

Through the offer, a business and its employees can have access to several self-guided nutrition programs through the Sophus Nutrition App. Some of these programs include Nutrition for Remote Workers, Nutrition for Immunity, Food & Nutrition for Active People, Healthy Eating for Families, as well as Healthy Eating for Self Managing Your Chronic Condition and Healthy Eating for a Healthy Weight.

Additionally, business teams can have free access to the Sophus Webinar Library as well as fortnightly live webinars. The Sophus recipe e-book library is also available. Finally, Sophus provides businesses with their own account manager to help them launch the program in their business.
