Australian skincare company Botany Essentials’ Botany Naturals range has defeated major international skincare players to win Best New Skin Care Product in the Pure Beauty Global Awards in Dubai, on 9 May.
This continues the company’s success following its win at the International Lux Health Beauty and Wellness UK Awards for Best Organic Skin Care Manufacturer. Botany Essentials co-founder and CEO Celestine Hade said it is the first time an Australian skincare manufacturing company has won two high profile global awards in the same year. “Botany Naturals won the awards purely on the strength of our premium skincare products. We don’t use beautiful people to sell our products, we just sell beautiful products,” said Ms Hade. Botany Essentials has shied away from using models and celebrities to promote its products. “Our skin care range is pure, honest and natural. We don’t make false promises, we don’t appeal to vanity and we don’t rely on stereotypes, we make authentic, high quality skin care products that people love to use,” said Ms Hade.
In addition to receiving the award for Best New Skin Care Product in the Pure Beauty Global Awards, Botany Naturals products were finalists in an additional five additional categories. Botany Essentials is an Australian business that wherever possible uses Australian native flora in its products. “Botany Naturals is challenging the traditional beauty product business model. We don’t rely on a large marketing budget to sell our products. We use natural ingredients to ensure environmental sustainability,” said Ms Hade. The brand is exported to more than thirty countries, with exports contributing more than 80 per cent of total revenue. “We are keeping employment in Australia. It really does take a team to build a company of our size and diversity is a key value for our business,” said Ms Hade.
All products are free of sulphates, petrochemicals, glycols, parabens or synthetic fragrances. Botany Essentials manufactures and exports products under the brands of Botany Naturals, Botany Aromatherapy, Botany Naturals Baby, DNA Serums and Pure South.
