Suzie Lightfoot is a personal branding expert, media personality and key note speaker who has forged a career over the past 25 years. She is an experienced businesswoman and has worked with industry leaders in media, PR, marketing and brand leadership. Suzie has her own personal branding business that focuses on helping other professional women turn their life experiences into powerful personal brands so that they have more choices, attract more opportunities and can be more financially secure.

Suzie had her start in the sporting world as a competitive gymnast and an elite 10 metre platform diver. After a training accident shattered her Olympic Games dreams, Suzie took up modelling. She then transitioned into the media sphere as a presenter and public figure. This, Suzie says, is where she learned the value of image management and leveraging from her own personal brand. After she turned 50, Suzie had an “aha moment” and launched into the entrepreneurial space, starting her own media and PR firm which continues today.

Life in the spotlight has not always been easy for single mum Suzie, having experiencing “extreme highs and terrible lows” including two broken marriages, brushes with depression, workplace bullying and sexual harassment. Despite the emotional exhaustion and pain that these struggles have caused, she still exudes positivity as she believes that they “laid the foundations” for the success she has achieved.

Empowering women is one of Suzie’s greatest passions and knows just how important personal branding can be in this process by making women feel “valuable, visible and courageous”. Suzie said, “It’s a role that I love, I am passionate about, and is a natural extension of who I am and all that I’ve accomplished in my career”.
