Liz Clift is a Gold Coast based fashion designer who has developed an impressive resume spanning multiple countries. Designing costumes for stage shows and movie wardrobes, as well as cruise ship uniforms are just a few of the her notable achievements.

Her clients have won race day fashions on the field more times than she can remember; more than 40 times for sure. Liz has also designed her own fabrics for her collections.

At the beginning of her career, Liz entered into the Queensland Designer Awards where she performed exceedingly well, winning a substantial number of awards. She then opened a boutique on the Isle of Capri, a hotspot for designers. Liz’s designs were preforming so well that she decided to travel to Paris to undertake a course at the Paris American Academy.

After returning to Australia, she eschewed retail design instead opting for wholesale design work. During this period, she designed uniforms for international hotels and resorts and created costumes for movies, often appearing on location during filming. She also designed gear for rock bands and the theatre wardrobe for a production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

These days, Liz lectures at the Paris American Academy where she is now also a global representative. Once international travel resumes, Liz plans to travel the world promoting the fashion school. Liz Clift will open a pop-up shop at Indooropilly Shopping Centre at the beginning of June 2020.
