Brisbane based 13-year old Amelia Ayris has a passion for acting, singing and performing. The young creative has been cast in movies and television series, along with professional theatre roles around Brisbane.

Ayris is represented by one of Australia’s top talent agents and managed by a firm in Los Angeles. She is the junior ambassador for Bravehearts, where she fundraises, performs and promotes cyber safety. She earned a nomination for Seven’s Young Achiever of the Year Awards and Westfield Local Heroes Awards for her work with Bravehearts.

Amelia is also an award-winning film producer, having written a short film titled Short Sleeves at the age of 12. The film was an official nominee in eight categories including best short film, actress, writer and producer at the Australian Screen Industry Network Awards for Short Sleeves. The film also won best student film at an international film festival in the US.

Ayris started her own film production company, AHA Pictures, to focus on writing and producing films that raise awareness of issues affecting teens. One of these films is titled Anonymous Sender and is about cyber safety for teens.

She is also an accomplished vocalist, regularly performing at events around Queensland including the 2020 Brisbane International Women’s Day. Amelia has also worked on the TV series, Grace Beside Me, playing Enid. The series aired on ABC, NITV and the Disney Channel. The episode Amelia worked on was a finalist in several film festivals. It was also nominated for a Logie Award in 2018 and 2019.

Amelia recently received the exciting news that her O1 Visa has been approved. The O1 Visa is for ‘Entertainers of Extraordinary Ability’ to work in the United States. She has been cast in an NBC pilot filming in Australia later this year and hopes to continue acting internationally in the future.
