The indomitable Kira Puru released her new single Everything Is Better Without You last week, boldly embracing pop in all its glory.

In addition to the new single, her special guest spot with Peking Duk on their Biggest Tour Ever, and a national headline tour in June and July, Kira will also be performing at Concerts on Country on Saturday 25 May – a brand new festival series in Beswick, a remote Aboriginal community in West Arnhem Land and Dark Mofo in Tasmania.

Kira quickly gathered a cult following with the hypnotic single Tension, with the 2018 release of her self-titled EP showcased an exhilarating evolution. Second single Molotov landed at number 75 on the triple j hottest 100 and she also delivered one of the most rousing triple j Like A Version’s of 2018 with a cover of Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F).

Uninhibited and uncompromising, Puru returns with yet another anthemic jam with attitude. In this chapter, she is as fierce as her fans have come to expect her to be. “It’s an anthem for anyone who has had to make the decision to distance themselves from a toxic relationship of any kind. It’s essentially about empowerment, healing from a broken heart and emerging stronger, smarter, better, and more badass,” says Puru of the track.

Her biggest headline tour to date, Puru will be joined on the road by special guest Kinder in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, and Canberra. The Kitsuné signed DJ & vocalist duo have also opened for Marshmello and RL Grime and toured as part of Falls Festival, Splendour In The Grass and Alison Wonderland’s Scarehouse Project.
