With snow sports a family passion of Lindsay Davis and as an ex-competitive trampolinist, it is no wonder this adventure-seeking young mum of two recognised a niche in the market for an indoor snow sport and adventure park in sunny Brisbane.

After immigrating to Brisbane nine years ago with husband Darren to start a family, Davis quickly recognised the need for adventure sport facilities. “We’ve always been adventure seekers and keen snowboarders, but we really struggled to find a facility in Brisbane to keep our skills and muscle-memory alive as well as a place we could train and be entertained as a family,” Davis said. “Once the idea of Urban Xtreme was born – I had to do it, there was nothing like it in Brisbane or even Australia that truly aimed to get families off the couch and into adventure sports, offering activities for all ages and abilities and multiple adventure sports in one location in a safe and controlled environment. Our first crowdfunding campaign as well as private investor funds allowed us to raise enough revenue to fit-out the first stage of the facility and open our doors in 2018.”

Fast forward one year and having welcomed thousands of happy customers through the facility, Davis is now in the final weeks of her second crowdfunding campaign. This time Urban Xtreme is one of the first companies in Brisbane to use the new Equity Crowdfunding legislation recently approved by the Government. “We hope to fulfill our dream of expanding the adventure park with a world-class climbing facility and disability access which will see Urban Xtreme become Australia’s largest indoor adventure park,” Davis said.

With more than 63 per cent of the $200,000 goal raised and mere weeks to go, Davis is calling out for the community to support  her small family-run business. “The community can own a piece of this growing business and be part of the Urban Xtreme dream by becoming a shareholder through equity crowdfunding platform Pledgme.com.au. If the goal is met, shareholders will own shares as well as receive perks such as discounts for the lifetime of the business and rewards to enjoy with family and friends. It’s amazing to see kids and adults who idolise non-traditional sports like snowboarding, parkour, ninja and obstacle courses on YouTube and then be able to try it out in our safe facility at Urban Xtreme.”

“By investing in Urban Xtreme, you will truly be buying into an active and healthy future for you and your family,” Davis said.
