They say good things come in twos and this proves correct for one of Brisbane’s newest public relations agencies, Duo Public Relations, who in their first six months of operation have achieved a lot. Founded in November 2017, Connie Tynan and Kaitie Mulherin had their sights set on differentiating themselves within the industry.

Key to their ethos is a fresh, creative and non-cookie-cutter approach. This approach has helped these new kids on the block break through and cement themselves as major contenders within the PR industry.

The duo was determined to shake things up, and being separated by hemispheres was not going to stop them. With Connie exploring everything the UK has to offer and Kaitie firmly on the ground in Brisbane, a niche was found in providing a 24 hour, boutique-style service for clients. “We love that we’re able to offer our clients a boutique style agency with global touchpoints. Our clients know that they can contact us at any time of day or night and get a response from one of us,” says Connie. With more than six years of combined industry experience, the team were able to pool their individual strengths to provide a results-driven service for new and existing businesses.

In the six months since Duo’s establishment, this pair has been nothing if not busy, with their millennial mindset and creative visions attracting some of Brisbane’s local heavyweights. Companies such as The Myer Centre, The Cove co-working space and Nodo have all claimed a spot on their client list “We really wanted to carve a niche in the market. There wasn’t anyone placing a focus on the growing startup landscape in Queensland and we wanted to help foster the entrepreneurial spirit of our city,” Brisbane based co-founder Kaitie said. “This is why we created a start-up solutions model to offer affordable and bespoke packages to help brands we love make waves”.
