Paralympic gold medalist Kelly Cartwright will walk the runway in the finale of Angels With Wings 2018 Melbourne Couture Runway Show this October.

Kelly was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in her right knee when she was 15, forcing her to have her right leg amputated. Having learnt to walk again, she turned her direction to sports. In 2012, she set a new world record and won gold in the women’s Long Jump at the Paralympic Games, as well as a silver medal in the women’s 100 metres. Kelly has been a brand ambassador and model for the likes of Qantas, Cotton On, Star Foundation and Reebok for many years and has appeared in numerous Australian and international publications. She will now headline the Exclusive Haute Couture Runway Show in Melbourne.

Angels with Wings wants to showcase beauty in all diversities and make history in the Australian fashion industry. The show will help to raise funds for Mercy Ships Australia, a charity that provides free surgery to the disabled and disadvantaged globally. Kelly will be taking to the runway to showcase various Australian and international designers including Belluccio, De Challie Haute Couture, Couture Studio, Black N Bling, Coo Culte Australia Helena Bridal Studio and Stephanie Browne Australia.

Angels With Wings 2018 Melbourne takes place at 7pm on 25 October. Tickets start from $90 and can be purchased here.
