Mother and daughter Penny Middlemiss and Rebecca Reiken of Anju Designs are an interior designer duo who have been crafting bespoke Queensland residential interiors for more than a decade.

Making a point of creating current but timeless spaces, the pair often custom make furniture for added individuality and work to their mantra of creating dream homes for their clients. Recently the pair have worked on developments situated in Brisbane’s white hot inner city suburbs, including the landmark Lucent Gasworks residences at Newstead.

The project features flowing floorplans and enjoy extraordinary natural light and high ceilings, open plan living with neutral and soft toned palettes, island bench kitchens, timber floors, ducted airconditioning and generously sized private balconies and developer Cavcorp’s signature rooftop wellness precinct, crowned with a dazzling 55 metre infinity pool.

The duo has also worked on The Refinery Penthouse, completely redesigning a loft-style apartment in the 115-year old heritage listed former CSR Sugar Refinery in New Farm. Anju’s brief here was to inject a contemporary industrial feel whilst maintaining the historic charm, at which they certainly excelled.

Le Bain is another project that Anju has been working on. These are brand new Newstead apartments which are almost ready to welcome their first stylishly heeled residents. Enticed by a picture perfect Parisian inspired rooftop pool club and Anju designed, nature inspired interiors, the apartments are both imaginative and distinctive, underpinned by Cavcorp’s sign ature blend of craftsmanship and design.
