Just seven months after the launch of Strucket, the multi-purpose bucket/strainer designed to help new parents avoid sticking their hands in dirty nappy buckets, inventor Kelly Lavery has won the highest honour for design and innovation in the country, a Good Design Award.

The 61st annual Good Design Awards had close to 700 projects to evaluate, breaking previous records for submissions. Dr Brandon Gien CEO of Good Design Australia emphasises Lavery’s “significant achievement given the very high calibre of entries received this year”. The Good Design jury also gave specific praise, ”Strucket solves a real-world problem economically and effectively. Simply conceived and solidly constructed… its beautiful and highly functional design makes this a clear winner”.

Founder Kelly Lavery was ecstatic with the win. ”Winning this award says so much about the hard work we put in… It has been a long journey and we have faced many hurdles getting the design right. After launching in December 2018, we have smashed our sales goals and our customer feedback has been incredible. Now with this award, our customers have further proof that they can have faith in Strucket”.
