Fit fashion label d+k is gaining traction for its body positive and inclusive athletic fashion. Founder Danielle Larkin began the label with the environment in mind, ensuring that each step of the manufacturing process of the clothing label has minimal impact on the planet.

Larkin established and based the brand in Brisbane, with the label culminating from her love of healthy living and passion for inclusive wellness and design. Believing that an active, healthy lifestyle and living your best life can be combined, inclusiveness is the focus of d+k’s brand.

Fashion and the creativity of design drew Larkin into creating d+k, leaving her studies in industrial and interior design to focus on her fashion label. Larkin is also committed to sustainable manufacturing and has her own factory and office space in Brisbane where all d+k products are made and distributed. The factory is solar-powered and each garment is made from unique fabrics and prints, and aims to have comfortable and diverse fits, with the women’s collection ranging in sizes between AU6-24 and A-E cup sizes. d+k also includes a menswear range and a maternity line.

The 2019 Spring Collection was recently launched and uses colour-blocked panels, a brand new Aurora print and a variety of styles and fits to suit any schedule. Leaf green was the key colour of the collection and makes an appearance in d+k’s signature performance Italian Lycra.

Recycled fabrics were used where possible, with several garments constructed from recycled nylon  recovered from landfill and ocean waste and regenerated into new material. d+k’s custom-developed Elixir fabric imbues a purple hue with a brushed cotton feel, the fabric was made to allow for comfort and performance. d+k will debut their spring collection at Brisbane Fashion Month’s Resort Finale runway event on October 30.
